All about ADMIXTURES and FIBERS

Chemical Admixtures

We utilize high-performance chemistry from Euclid Chemical to ensure workability, strength, and durability in every load.

Standard

Eucon WR 91

A liquid, water-reducing and set retarding admixture designed for general purpose concrete.

Key Benefits

  • Increases concrete strength by reducing water requirements.
  • Improves finishability and surface appearance.
  • Reduces shrinkage and permeability.
Durability

Eucon AEA-92S

Air entraining agent that creates microscopic air bubbles in the concrete to prevent freeze-thaw damage.

Primary Uses

  • Exterior concrete exposed to freezing weather.
  • Driveways, sidewalks, and parking lots.
  • Improves workability and reduces segregation.
Hot Weather

Eucon Stasis

A hydration stabilizer that keeps concrete fresh during long hauls or extreme heat.

Key Benefits

  • Prevents “cold joints” by keeping concrete plastic longer.
  • Allows for extended delivery times without losing quality.
  • Reduces water demand during hot weather placement.
High Performance

Plastol 6420

A Polycarboxylate Mid-Range Water Reducer. This is modern chemistry for superior concrete flow.

Key Benefits

  • Provides excellent slump retention (flowability) without retardation.
  • Greatly improves the finish on flatwork.
  • Higher early strengths compared to conventional water reducers.
Cold Weather

Accelguard NCA

Non-Chloride Accelerator. The industry standard for pouring concrete in cold temperatures.

Key Benefits

  • Accelerates set time to prevent freezing in plastic concrete.
  • Increases early strength development for faster stripping of forms.
  • Will not promote corrosion of steel reinforcement (Non-Chloride).
Specialty

Eucon Easy Fill

Designed specifically for Controlled Low Strength Material (CLSM) or “Flowable Fill.”

Primary Uses

  • Backfilling trenches and utility excavations.
  • Generates stable air volume (reduces sinking).
  • Keeps the fill excavatable in the future.

Fiber Reinforcement

Advanced synthetic fibers that replace steel mesh and control cracking.

Crack Control

PSI Fiberstrand 150

Micro-synthetic fibers that distribute essentially invisibly throughout the mix.

Why use this?

  • Specifically attacks Plastic Shrinkage Cracks (cracks that form while concrete is drying).
  • Reduces segregation of the aggregate.
  • A cost-effective insurance policy for slab surfaces.
Structural

Tuf-Strand SF

Heavy-duty Macro-synthetic fibers designed to replace conventional steel temperature bars and welded wire mesh.

Key Benefits

  • Replaces Wire Mesh: Saves labor and time installing steel.
  • Rust Proof: Unlike steel, these fibers will never corrode.
  • Increases impact resistance and fatigue strength of the slab.
