Smart-Stack Design
Forget rusty rebar loops. We use recessed lifting anchors and fork pockets. Our blocks stack flush, allowing you to increase hold-down weight in a minimal footprint.
VolumeDensity™ Mix
We don’t use standard sidewalk concrete. Our mix is designed specifically for Deadweight, utilizing large-aggregate local basalt for maximum density per cubic foot.
Why Our Blocks Are Heavier
Not all concrete weighs the same. In the Midwest and South, concrete is often made with limestone or sandstone—aggregates that are relatively light and porous.
Volume Concrete leverages our local geology. We are situated in the heart of the Cascadia Subduction Zone, giving us direct access to dense, volcanic river-run rock.
- Columbia River Basalt: Our aggregate has a Specific Gravity significantly higher than standard construction stone.
- River-Run Durability: We use rounded, “glacier-wash” stones that are 100% solid rock, free of the air voids found in crushed quarry stone.
- No Expensive Imports: We achieve near-iron-ore performance using local natural resources, saving you freight costs while delivering superior hold-down force.
